Essilorrivals include Hoya Vision Care (7741.T) and Carl Zeiss. (Reporting by Caroline Jacobs and Noelle Mennella; Editing byLincoln Feast and Rupert Winchester). Maybe George W Bush is smarter than I thought. Probably not, but after reading a Politico interview, one thing is clear: Dubya knows baseball. When asked which pitcher he’d select (if he were once again an MLB team owner), he made the right choice. He chose our boy That’s right, Harry Leroy Halladay III.

Bushy may not know much about foreign policy or, hell, even domestic policy, but the man knows his baseball.”And Roy Halladay from the Toronto Blue Jays is a great pitcher. He’s a steady guy, he burns up innings.”He more than just “burns up innings,” Bushy. He’s a complete-game machine.Difficult to believe, but I’ve got a lot more faith in Bushy after today than I did yesterday. To read the transcript of Bushy’s interview over at Politico, where he calls out our boy, click here. Before I forget, Happy Birthday to Queen Victoria Much respect on the long weekend It is appreciated Cheers, and enjoy yourself.P.S.: Vote Obama.. A few days ago, I had to leave a very offensive voicemail to the former coach of my daughter’s softball team. The reason for the call: He was treating 9-year-olds like they were trying out for the Olympics. After hearing about this story, I just lost my mind.I have heard of parents going over the edge in regards to their children. But of course, they have the right to defend their child, right? But when does it go over the line?Answer: When coaches punish children for, dare I say it, the world’s dumbest crock of BS ever assembled.

Those coaches know who they are.I think I speak for every parent out there who has had to deal with this issue This is insane I have a 4-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter Both are heavily active in social activities. So when someone who isn’t their father or their relative tries to tell them they need to perform like they’re in the Olympic Trials, I  take offense. After the phone message I left, I thought this was done But then, I heard about this parent who had to work late. The punishment: Her son got benched because she didn’t relieve the Botox-injected parent at the concession stand. Rules may be rules, but just how retarded do you have to be to make that rule? This article doesn’t have to be a long one, but it has to make sense.

As a parent, I think it’s time for all the coaches to know their role and shut their hole. They have to realize the parents aren’t taking it as seriously as they are. It’s time for these guys to understand that life isn’t always about sport.Let the kids have their fun They’re kids, so let them be kids. Besides, just because parents didn’t make it to the big leagues doesn’t mean that they have to dump their dreams on the children. So coaches (and parents): Just shut up and let them play.Because deep inside, you wish you were them..
