However Carlos Marmol suffered the loss as he gave up the game winning home run in the bottom of the seventh to Carlos Quentin.As for White Sox starter Javier Vasquez he lasted just four-and-a-third innings allowing five earned runs on nine hits while striking out seven and walking three. The win went to Matt Thornton as Bobby Jenks got his 18th save of the season.Tomorrow the Cubs will try to salvage the series as they send Sean Marshall to the mound who is 0-1 with 5.40 era.
